Rhinestone jewelry a good choice?

Rhinestones are considered Costume Jewelry (the medal the stones are set in and the stones themselves have no value, only the value of the importance of the wearer). You know your girlfriend best but sticking with a nice 925 Sterling silver piece with imitation colored stones (could be her birthstone or a favorite color) or dangle open heart earrings would be nice, from a girls opinion:)
